Education is the foundation of success for Carlton Hair and its team members. As a stylist, you'll continue to learn and grow while you earn a living. Carlton employees spend more than 45,000 hours in a variety of classes every year. Choose to advance your education through courses at the Carlton Academies and the Assistant Program and Apprenticeship.

In addition to in-salon training, Carlton Hair has one full-time and two part-time academies. The Carlton academies offer advanced cut and color classes taught by Carlton Academy directors. As an employee, you can attend interactive, hands-on classes that incorporate classic cuts with modern finishes. You'll explore and reinvent current methods used by the top names in the industry. Classes range from developing classic skills in the free Six-Week Finishing Course- which all of our stylists attend before graduating to the stylist level-to advanced creative cut and color courses.

Carlton Hair Academy was founded with the intent to develop some of the best hairdressers in the world. Our apprentices, assistants and hairstylists go through an extensive and progressive training program. We train our people not just to be good technical hairdressers, but also to develop their skills in communication, marketing and image. We work to instill a passion for learning and self-improvement in all of our stylists. We believe it is our responsibility to help our entire staff reach their full potential. Course Description: This finishing course for assistants and apprentices is the final step before the student is promoted to stylist level. The intensive six-week course prepares students for the salon environment. Students receive instruction in technical skills, communication, marketing and product knowledge–everything you need to know to be a successful stylist.
